Né à Austin, Texas en 1994.
Nick Weddell est un artiste qui vit et travaille dans le Colorado. Il a obtenu un baccalauréat en beaux-arts en céramique de la Texas State University (2016) et une maîtrise en beaux-arts du New York State College of Ceramics de l'Alfred University (2019). Weddell joue avec les archétypes d'une gamme croissante d'objets utilitaires du quotidien : peaufiner des tasses, des tapis et des fauteuils avec une gaieté qui plonge dans nos routines quotidiennes et nos espaces domestiques. L'œuvre de Weddell est un catalyseur de curiosité, un ingénieur du plaisir absurde et surtout un signe avant-coureur de joie.
Nick Weddell a été artiste résident à la Fondation Archie Bray à Helena, Montana (2019-2021), au Center for Contemporary Ceramics de la California State University Long Beach (2019) et à Lefebvre et Fils à Versailles, France (2019, 2023 ). Le travail de Weddell a été collectionné par l'Everson Museum of Art de Syracuse, New York, et le Dallas Museum of Art de Dallas, Texas, ainsi que dans plusieurs collections privées aux États-Unis ainsi qu'en Australie, Chine, Japon, Europe, et Canada.
